LongRifles, Inc is owned and operated by Chad Dixon. Chad’s introduction to firearms began in 1991 as a marksmanship instructor and competitive shooter in the United States Marine Corps.
Chad began building rifles in 2000 at the Anschutz National Service Center in Colorado Springs. There he was able to work very closely with National Team athletes from the US Olympic Training Center and some of the most prestigious names in competitive shooting. In 2003 he relocated to South Dakota after accepting a management position with Nesika Bay Precision and Dakota Arms, Inc. While there he was afforded the opportunity to invest a tremendous amount of time and effort into refining precision firearms manufacturing.
In 2006, Chad left Nesika to further broaden his experience when he deployed to the Middle East as a security contractor for the US Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security in Baghdad, Iraq. The experience in the Middle East and Somalia during Operation: Restore Hope provides first person experience of how small arms perform in the high threat environment.
Career highlights includes rifles that have won Olympic, World, International, and National level competitions in International Smallbore, Smallbore Silhouette, Prone, Highpower, and International Long Range (Palma). He has also worked on development of long range tactical rifles for domestic and foreign agencies against the war on terror.
